Participants asked me questions to which I would respond to the best of my ability. For twenty minutes I responded honestly to queries. I was asked what I love, hate, fear, and if I have ever been in prison. I found that during the performative action, I had to pay close attention to the questions and I had to not make assumptions about what I thought was intended by the question.
