Paintings 2013
Over the fall of 2012 I made eighty (+/-) paintings. After each brushstroke, I placed the brush, still pregnant with paint, into a cup of water (this ruins the brushes, making each successive mark flawed). At the end of the season I took those nineteen brushes, still covered in layers of stagnant paint, then made a single stroke with the "franken-mark maker," all the brushes bundled together in my fist. The color of the mark is the mean of eighty paintings.
The cardboard surface once shipped another artist's work to a juried exhibition.
